Corey Clinton Peters Biography
“I am happiest when I am studying nature. It’s been one of my greatest teachers.”
Corey Clinton Peters is an artist and painter living in Los Angeles. First inspired by his grandmother, who continues to paint into her nineties, Corey pursued art and creativity from a young age. He never stopped making art, and developed into a disciplined artist, committed to constantly honing his craft.
After graduating from Art Center College of Design, Corey was named “An Artist to Watch” by Southwest Art Magazine. He experimented with a staggering variety of styles, from illustration to entertainment design. Later, Corey turned his drive to developing plein air landscape painting, and he has been deep in study ever since.
Today, Corey paints the quiet and wild places along the California coast and the Sierra Nevada mountains. His artwork can be found in various collections throughout the United States as well as overseas, in Taiwan. Corey also teaches painting and design at Right Brain Academy of Art, which he founded with his wife and partner Rebecca Chen.
